Carolyn Yim is a creative entrepreneur. She runs a 50-person environmentally sustainable Computer-Aided-Manufacturer and built two product brands, with her hand in everything upstream to downstream: raw material sourcing, design, production, marketing, and retailing.
At her vertically-integrated knitwear business, Ply-Knits, she spins waste yarn into new life. Under the ethos of “Less And More,” she makes a collection of timeless sweaters and products for the home. Through good and well-made design, Ply-Knits hopes to nudge consumer behavior towards greater joy, and thus respect, for clothing.
